Dear Volunteer,
The City of Fayetteville appreciates your willingness to volunteer your time to help improve our outdoor spaces. Due to the nature of being in any outdoor environment, this type of effort involves a degree of danger and there is a risk of personal injury while performing the work. By volunteering to perform work, you assume those risks. The City of Fayetteville cannot be responsible for any injury to you or others that might occur while you are volunteering with us.
In order to participate, the City of Fayetteville requires you acknowledge these risks and fully release the City and other sponsoring organizations from any and all liability by reading and signing the following:
I assume all risks and hazards directly related to and incidental to participation in the City of Fayetteville Volunteer Program, I hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the City of Fayetteville, its officers, agents and employees, as well as the Lake Fayetteville Watershed Partnership and any other sponsoring individual, organization, or company for any claim arising out of my injury.
I hereby grant my consent and full release to the City of Fayetteville to use any videos, photographs, and/or motion picture film produced during my volunteer participation to promote and publicize the public volunteer opportunities offered by the City of Fayetteville; and furthermore, I hereby consent that such media is and shall remain the property of the City of Fayetteville, and that the City of Fayetteville retains the exclusive right to duplicate and reproduce such media free and clear of any claim whatsoever on my part.
