My smoke detector doesn’t work, is my landlord required to maintain it?
Your landlord is required to maintain installed smoke detectors within the structures that they own. The fire code says that the detectors are required to work. If your landlord does not comply, you may file a complaint with the Fire Department by calling 479-575-8365 or 479-444-3448.
