What are the hours of operation, location and fees associated with the compost facility?
The Compost Facility is located at 1708 South Armstrong Avenue just past the Animal Shelter off of 15th Street in southeast Fayetteville. The site is open to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. The site is also open the first Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. until noon during the months of November to March and the first 2 Saturdays of each month from 8 a.m. until noon during the months of April to October.

City of Fayetteville residents can drop off yard waste materials for free by bringing the most recent copy of their water bill. Businesses, commercial landscapers, tree trimmers and non residents can use the site for a fee. The fees are: compact pickup trucks $5, full size pickup trucks $8, trailers up to 14 feet long $10 and trailers greater than 14 feet $15. Compost and mulch products are also available for sale during operating hours if supplies are available.
