Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Announces 2021 Outdoor Fayetteville Programs

 
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- The City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Division’s newest program, Outdoor Fayetteville, has released its 2021 programs calendar! These programs will provide families with novice- to intermediate-level experience the opportunity to learn outdoor skills using equipment provided by Parks and Recreation. Programs range from day hikes, sunset paddles and backcountry cooking clinics to extended, overnight backpacking and canoeing/kayaking excursions. Registration is now open and programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All equipment is provided and family pricing options make Outdoor Fayetteville accessible to all!
 
Outdoor Recreation provides numerous benefits to physical, mental and emotional health. Gaining life-long skills through experiential learning is a great way to build confidence, meet new people and improve existing relationships. This family-focused program will provide an outlet for individuals and families to build stronger relationships and connect with the outdoors while also building new skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.
 
COVID-19 safety protocols and directives from the Arkansas Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control will be implemented to ensure the safety of participants and staff. Programs will be designed to allow for social distancing and small groups.
