The City of Fayetteville’s Transportation Division will close a section of the Scull Creek Trail from Gordon Long Park to Appleby Road for trail maintenance. The maintenance is estimated to take two weeks. Work will begin on Monday, October 31 and will be complete by Monday, November 14. The trail will close during the day from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; it will be open at night and on weekends. City crews will be stabilizing the trail foundation while also preventing erosion near Scull Creek.
Trail users will be detoured to N. Gregg Avenue, crossing at Appleby Road to reconnect with the trail. A pedestrian signal crossing is located at the intersection of Gregg Avenue and Appleby Road.
