The City of Fayetteville and Mayor Lioneld Jordan invite the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the completion of the Gordon Long Park Trailhead improvement project. The ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 2 p.m. Gordon Long Park is located at 2800 N. Gregg Avenue.
Gordon Long Park, a small but popular park, is located near several apartment complexes. Amenities that attract users include a playground, looped walking trail, and natural water features. The Scull Creek Trail, a section of the Razorback Greenway, is adjacent to the park. Improvements include:

• Educational kiosk about protect water quality and a map and history of the Razorback Greenway.
The restroom facility at Gordon Long Park features four stalls, sinks, drinking fountains, and is fully accessible. Four public restroom facilities are located (from 2.4 to 3.5 miles apart) in parks along the greenway – Lake Fayetteville Veterans Memorial Park, Wilson Park, Gordon Long Park, Wilson Park, and Walker Park.
This project was funded with a $260,000 Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant through the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department, $38,604 from the Illinois River Partnership, and trail development capital improvement program funds.
