Mayor Jordan Will Co-Host Open House with Area Mayors, Police Chiefs and City Staff
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Mayor Lioneld Jordan, Police Chief Greg Tabor, and Deputy Chief Mike Reynolds will join other Northwest Arkansas mayors and city officials to encourage continued civic engagement regarding how communities are proactively dealing with safety of citizens and officers every day. The open house will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, in the Springdale City Administration Building at 201 Spring St., Springdale. A program for the open house is being developed by Pastor Marcus Carruthers of the Worship Ministry at the Dwelling Place in Fayetteville.
The past week has been difficult for the Fayetteville community and for our police as well. Our hearts are saddened by the losses experienced by the families of those who were killed in Dallas, Louisiana, and Minnesota. We are fortunate and blessed in Fayetteville to have the overwhelming support of our community. We strive to work together to educate one another on issues, to continuously improve our processes, realizing that in our partnership-based government we need input and support from all our citizens.
This open house is an opportunity to come and meet with local law enforcement and city officials to continue an open dialogue between law enforcement and the communities we serve. Residents from around Northwest Arkansas are encouraged to attend. Please join us, as we all come together with the common goal of keeping our communities safe.
