City Announces Lineup for 20th Annual Gulley Park Summer Concert Series

FAYETTEVLLE, Ark. — Fayetteville’s Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the lineup for the 2016 Gulley Park Summer Concert Series! This year is the 20th year of concerts at Gulley Park and features six performances on Thursday evenings throughout the summer. Concerts are free and held at the gazebo area in Gulley Park, music starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

The first concert of the series is this Thursday, May 26 and features BRUNS from Nashville. The band’s website says, “BRUNS is a gospel-infused Tom Petty as much as it is Bruce Springsteen in the New South. This three piece, real guitar band has adopted a style of music that only becomes more complicated with the passage of time. Their mix of vocals, guitar, and rhythm adds vintage sheen that lends the band a signature sound amid a Nashville music scene teeming with hungry musicians.”

Come out and bring your furry friends to Thursday’s Gulley Park Concert featuring BRUNS. Like all Gulley Park Summer Concerts, it will be fun and free with food vendors on site! Should inclement weather prevent us from hosting the show outdoors, our indoor venue will be the main gym at the Boys and Girls Club located at 560 N. Rupple Road. Please call the Parks and Recreation inclement weather hotline (479-443-PARK) after 3:30 p.m. the day of the show for up-to-date information. All concerts are recorded and can be viewed on the Fayetteville Government Channel.

The lineup for this summer includes:
• June 9 – Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds
• June 23 – Blue Healer
• July 7 – Danielle Nicole
• July 21 – Flashback
• August 4 – Effron White

Thanks to all of the bands and fans who help to make the Gulley Park Summer Concert Series what it is – including our sponsors: White River Nursery, Hilton Garden Inn, Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream, Magic 107.9, Mellow Mushroom Pizza, Ozark Natural Foods, Qdoba Mexican Grill, Slim Chickens, Storms Orthodontics, The Belford Group, Tooley’s Barbecue, and Whole Foods for making this year’s concerts possible. Also, our thanks go to JTH Productions for providing great sound and lighting at all of our summer concerts.

See you at the shows!
