Five Hundred Pounds of Pet Food Collected in March for Ranger’s Pantry

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark— Five Fayetteville apartment complexes participated in a competition-style pet food drive in March to raise awareness about families who are struggling to feed their pets. More than 500 pounds of dog and cat food were collected by Academy at Frisco, The Grove, Hill Place Apartments, Mountain Ranch Apartments, and Pierce Properties for Ranger’s Pantry – the City-operated pet food bank. The Academy collected of over 250 pounds of pet food during the drive and was declared the winner of the competition. Ranger’s Pantry and the City of Fayetteville would like to recognize all participants for their efforts in helping Fayetteville citizens and their pets.

Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank provides pet food to families who are struggling to feed their animals, ensuring that families stay together during unfortunate circumstances. Ranger’s Pantry provides pet food entirely through donations, and a remarkable amount of community support has enabled the program to help feed more than 3,000 pets and donate almost 125,000 pounds of pet food to families since 2010.

Visit this webpage for more information about Ranger’s Pantry Pet Food Bank, including donation options and program applications or contact the City’s Community Resources Division at 479-575-8260.
