City Seeks Public Input for Gulley Park Master Plan
The City of Fayetteville invites citizens and other interested persons or groups to a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 in the School Board Room at the Ray Adams Leadership Center, located at 1000 W. Bulldog Avenue (formerly Stone Street).
The City is preparing an overall master plan for future development of Gulley Park. The City acquired approximately 10 acres of land (north of the existing 28-acre park) in 2014 through a partnership with Friends of Gulley Park, a citizen group formed to raise funds for the purchase of the additional land.
The purpose of this meeting is to listen to comments and develop a comprehensive plan that will guide the future of Gulley Park. We are seeking help and guidance from the residents and users of the park in creating and gathering ideas for the master plan. Developing information about the park can be found on the City’s website here.
For those unable to attend the meeting, please submit your comments to the Parks and Recreation Department by email at parks_and_recreation@fayetteville-ar.gov or telephone 479-444-3471. Written comments may be submitted to Fayetteville Parks and Recreation, 113 W. Mountain Street, Fayetteville, AR 72701. A survey link will be available on the City website after the public meeting.
Ethnic minorities, persons with special needs, elderly persons over 55, and special interest groups are encouraged to attend and participate.
