City Board of Health Relays Flu Advisory from CDC

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City Board of Health recently received an official health advisory about Seasonal Influenza (Flu) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The flu season is active in Arkansas; citizens are encouraged to take precautionary measures. Educational resources are available to the public on the CDC’s website here. The advisory begins with the following, “Flu Season Begins: Severe Influenza Illness Reported: CDC urges rapid antiviral treatment of very ill and high risk suspect influenza patients without waiting for testing.” The advisory in its entirety can be viewed at this link.
