Mayor Jordan Encourages Property Owners within City Limits to Report Flood Damage

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — On behalf of the Washington County Department of Emergency Management, Mayor Lioneld Jordan is encouraging all property owners within Fayetteville city limits to contact the county and report damage caused by recent flooding. Reports can be made by email at eoc@co.washington.ar.us or telephone at 479-444-1722. The deadline for reporting is Monday, Jan. 18, 2016.

The county is collecting data and working with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to determine if damage assessments meet disaster assistance thresholds. Reporting damage does not ensure that assistance will be available.

Media inquiries can be made to Rick Johnson by email at rjohnson@co.washington.ar.us or telephone at 479-444-1722.
