Registration Now Open for Golden Ball Classic Kickball Tournament

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation is excited to present the Golden Ball Classic Kickball Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Walker Park. Registration is open and teams are encouraged to sign up at as soon as possible for tournament play and skills competitions.

The coed teams consist of 10 to 13 players and must have an equal number of male and female players on the field. Each team is guaranteed to play three lightning-style pool play games and advance into one of two single-elimination brackets based on pool play record. Fayetteville Parks and Recreation will provide tournament umpires and a game ball for each match.

While teams are not playing in pool play games, players are invited to compete in two skills competitions: the Home Run Derby and Clutch Kicking Competition. Each competition calls on players to show off their kickball skills. In the Home Run Derby, players will have the opportunity to kick as many balls over the fence as possible within a time limit. The Clutch Kicking Competition requires players to hit a giant target’s bull’s-eye as many time as possible within a time limit. Trophies and prizes will be given to tournament winners and the male and female winners of each skills competition.

The cost to register for the tournament is $250 per team and $10 per player for the skills contests. For more information, please visit or contact Recreation Program Manager Joe Kieklak by email at or by phone at 479-444-3471.

Adult coed kickball is one of the City’s most popular recreation programs and offers a great opportunity for friends, families and co-workers to bond. Do not miss the opportunity to defend your elementary blacktop title and be active!
