E. MAPLE STREET CLOSURE FOR THE UPPER SCULL CREEK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Construction of the Upper Scull Creek Drainage Improvement Project is well underway. E. Maple Street, between N. Walnut Avenue and N. Olive Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from Monday, September 14 through Monday, October 26, 2015. Residents will be able to access driveways. Portions of surrounding roads in close proximity to the work will also be restricted to local access only. Detour routes will be marked. Please use extreme caution when in the work area, watch for personnel and equipment, and follow all advisory and regulatory signage.
The Upper Scull Creek Drainage Improvement Project consists of constructing a box culvert underneath the roadway:
• N. Walnut Ave - from just north of Gunter Street, extending south to E. Maple Street;
• E. Maple Street - from N. Walnut Avenue, extending east to N. Olive Avenue;
• N. Olive Avenue - from E. Maple Street, extending south to the drainage channel.
