NOTIFICATION OF FIREWORKS DISPLAYS AND SOUNDS

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Fayetteville Fire Marshal’s Office and the State Fire Marshall have approved a fireworks permit for the discharge of fireworks at all University of Arkansas Razorback home football games for 2015. The first Razorback home football game of the season begins at 2:30 p.m. this Saturday, September 5, 2015. The season schedule can be found here: http://www.arkansasrazorbacks.com/sport/m-footbl/schedule

Technicians will be discharging fireworks consisting of both flashes and concussion effects (boom sound) throughout each Razorback home football game. Fireworks will be discharged:
• at the beginning of the game, when the Razorbacks run onto the field
• during the national anthem
• whenever the Razorbacks score (touchdown or field goal)
• after a Razorback game win.

The City of Fayetteville now publishes a media release regarding approved firework displays so that citizens can make accommodations for individuals and animals affected by displays.
