Lake Fayetteville softball parking lot to close Monday, Nov. 13
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The parking lot at the Lake Fayetteville Softball Complex will be closed starting Monday, Nov. 13, for construction related to the renovations of the complex.
Parking to access the trail will still be available at North Shore Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Environmental Study Center and the Fayetteville Trailhead parking at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks.
Renovations to the ballfield complex will replace aged and worn out infrastructure. This project consists of an overhaul to the stormwater drainage system, as well as installing artificial turf on the infields to increase the playability of the complex with regards to weather.
Other improvements include new fencing, backstops, dugouts, bleachers, security lighting and improved accessibility. The project is anticipated to be completed in March 2024 in time for the spring softball league. The parking lot is anticipated to be partially reopened in December.
