New West Ave. Parking Deck to open Friday, Nov. 10
West Ave. surface lot to close Monday, Nov. 13, to begin Civic Plaza construction
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The City of Fayetteville’s new West Ave. Parking Deck is set to open for public use Friday, Nov. 10.
The deck was constructed to replace parking spaces at the City’s surface lot at West and Dickson St. in preparation for construction of the Civic Plaza as part of creating The Ramble, a dynamic new 50-acre outdoor public space that will help to revitalize Fayetteville’s downtown area and create a destination for residents and visitors alike.
The surface lot is scheduled to close Monday, Nov. 13, for construction of the Civic Plaza to begin. The lot must be vacated by 5 a.m. Monday.
Both construction of the parking deck and Civic Plaza are funded by the Cultural Arts Corridor Bond approved by Fayetteville residents in 2019. To learn more about these bond projects and other components of The Ramble, go to: https://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/3456/Cultural-Arts-Corridor.
