Brenda Reed is City of Fayetteville’s New Director of Human Resources

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville has chosen Brenda Reed as the City of Fayetteville’s Director of Human Resources. The City’s Human Resources Department supports the City’s organizational strategy by managing the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs. Reed brings business experience from the private and public sectors. She has held progressively responsible positions in Human Resources management in varied employment sectors including: insurance, university, healthcare, and government. In addition, she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Brenda’s expertise includes compensation, benefits, staffing, compliance, employee relations management, and policy development. She served as the board chairperson for Midwest Public Risk, the Midwest’s largest not-for-profit, public entity risk pool representing the interests of 160+ public entities across Missouri and Kansas. She is a member of the International Public Management Association (IPMA-HR), International City/County Management Association (ICMA), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Wellness Council of America (WELCOA), and World at Work.
