City to host Bryce Davis Park planning meeting Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville is seeking community input for improvements to Bryce Davis Park that will be scheduled for construction next year.

To gather ideas from the public, the Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs Department will host a drop-in planning meeting at the community park from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 20. The event will take place near the playground area at 1595 N. Darthmouth Dr.

Two concepts for the park will be shown to help illustrate possible ideas for park improvements. Participants will be asked to rank ideas and help prioritize potential improvements. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss their ideas with park planners.

Along with gathering in-person input at the park this weekend, an online questionnaire will be posted to Speak Up Fayetteville, the city’s online engagement portal. The questionnaire will be available until June 5 and can be accessed starting this weekend at: https://speakup.fayetteville-ar.gov.

Funding for the development and construction of improvements to Bryce Davis Park comes from the Park Improvement Bond approved by Fayetteville residents in 2019. To learn more about this bond project, go to: https://fayetteville-ar.gov/4284/Bryce-Davis-Park-Improvements-and-Master
