City to host Underwood Community Park planning meeting Dec. 10

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – As part of the ongoing development of a master plan for Underwood Community Park, the City of Fayetteville will host a public planning meeting Saturday, Dec. 10, at Holcomb Elementary School.

Attendees will be shown design concepts “based on a broad range of development options” and asked to give feedback “to refine them to become the best possible community park,” said Ted Jack, park planning superintendent for the City’s Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs Department.

The meeting will be held 10 a.m. to noon at the school, 2900 N. Salem Rd. Park staff and consultants will be on hand to answer questions. Underwood Community Park, located on a portion of the former Razorback Park Golf Course, is the City’s newest park. A public meeting was held in September to gather preliminary ideas about what residents would like to see included in the park’s development.

Additionally, a survey will be made available online after the meeting is held. The survey will be hosted on Speak Up Fayetteville, the City’s online engagement portal:
