White Elephant 5K & 1 Mile holiday races Saturday, Dec. 10

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The second annual White Elephant 5K race will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, beginning at 8 a.m. on the historic Fayetteville Downtown Square. This year’s event also includes a 1-mile race for runners and walkers.

This road race will utilize city streets connecting iconic Fayetteville landmarks, such as the square, Dickson Street, Old Main Lawn and The Ramble. Closures associated with the race include the Fayetteville square (6-10 a.m.) and Dickson St. from East Ave. to Arkansas Ave. (8-8:15 a.m.).

Both the 5K and 1-mile races are open to participants of all ages. Registration includes an event long-sleeve shirt, finisher medal, free event photo downloads and more. This holiday themed race is sure to be jolly! Racers will be treated to the Lights of the Ozarks, holiday music, photo opportunities with Santa, hot cocoa and “white elephant” gifts.
