Markham, Palmer intersection now all-way stop

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Starting the week of May 16, the intersection of W. Markham Road and N. Palmer Avenue will be an all-way stop.

Terry Gulley, director of Transportation Services, said the change is being made because of limited sight distance and public safety, as well as speed and traffic volumes.

The intersection is currently a T-intersection with traffic stopping only on Palmer. Stop signs are being added on Markham, both eastbound and westbound.
