N. Shiloh construction to require overnight road closure, extended lane shift
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — As part of ongoing road construction on N. Shiloh Drive, the section between N. Gregg Avenue and the Fulbright Expressway onramp will be closed overnight to traffic starting 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, and reopening by 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 1.
Also, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, March 7, through Friday, April 1, the eastbound lane in the same stretch will be shifted into the westbound turning lane, resulting in one lane each way.
The temporary changes are part of a construction project to improve two intersections on N. Shiloh, at the on/offramp for the Fulbright Expressway and where Shiloh meets Steele Boulevard. The project is funded by the Streets Improvement Bond approved by Fayetteville residents in 2019.
Lane shifts, closures and delays will be needed along this high traffic area for the safety of the public and construction workers. Drivers are asked to be observant and use extra care when driving in this area.
