City Clerk Office Accepting Applications for Volunteers to Serve on City Boards
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fayetteville’s Office of the City Clerk Treasurer is accepting applications for various boards. Fayetteville citizen boards, committees, and commissions consist of mostly volunteer citizens who are devoted to giving their time and expertise on issues relating to each board, committee, or commission. Applicants must be a resident within the city limits of Fayetteville and be a Fayetteville registered voter. Vacancies are advertised and appointments are made quarterly. Citizen appointments are made by the Nominating Committee of the City Council and receive final approval by the City Council.
The current vacancies are:
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS
• One unexpired term ending 03/31/16
CONSTRUCTION BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND APPEALS
• Two unexpired Alternate Member terms ending 03/31/16
ENERGY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1
• One term ending 12/31/17
PUBLIC FACILITES BOARD
• One term ending 12/31/20
TOWN AND GOWN ADVISORY COMMITTEE
• One Ward 1 Resident term ending 09/30/17
• One Ward 3 Resident term ending 09/30/17

The application deadline is August 28, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. All applicants must submit a new application for each board, commission or committee. Applications may be emailed to cityclerk@fayetteville-ar.gov or mailed to the City Clerk office at 113 W. Mountain Street, Fayetteville, AR 72701.
