Road Improvements to Alter Intersection of Highway 112 and Van Asche Drive

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Van Asche Drive Extension Project will require an alteration and realignment of the three-way intersection of Highway 112 and Van Asche Drive.

On Friday, July 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., drivers should expect disruptions to traffic flow as crews work within the intersection paving and installing stop signs. Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment. The construction will change the intersection of Highway 112 and Van Asche Drive from the current configuration to a three-way stop. When the Van Asche Drive Extension Project is completed in September this year, the City of Fayetteville and the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department will perform a traffic study to determine if the intersection meets the requirements for a traffic signal.

On Monday, July 27, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Van Asche Drive will be closed to thru traffic from Highway 112 to McGuire Street for paving.

Drivers are also asked to continue to use caution when traveling in the area due to the realignment and creation of a three-way stop at the intersection.
