 Fayetteville City Council to Hold Special Meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 14

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A special meeting of the Fayetteville City Council will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14. The special meeting will be immediately followed by the City Council’s regularly scheduled Agenda Session. Both meetings will be held virtually with some attendees present in City Council chambers at City Hall. 

The special meeting has been called to discuss a resolution to authorize the city attorney to file a motion to intervene on behalf of the City of Fayetteville in Arkansas Public Service Commission Proceeding 21-070-U and oppose the application of Southwestern Electric Power Company to increase its rates. 

City Council meeting will be live-streamed and recorded. Members of the public who wish to view a live video of these meetings can do so on the City’s YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/cityoffayettevillear.
