Yvonne Richardson Community Center Open for Public Use
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — City of Fayetteville buildings reopened to the public on April 19, 2021. Included in the reopening is the Yvonne Richardson Community Center (YRCC), located at 240 E. Rock St. The YRCC is home to a gymnasium, multi-purpose room and computer lab, as well as an outdoor garden shelter and playgrounds.
Current facility hours are Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pickleball is available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 2:30 p.m. Open Gym is available from 3 to 7 p.m. These operational hours are in place until Friday, May 28, 2021.
All visitors to the YRCC buildings are required to wear a mask. Masks will be provided at no charge to anyone who does not have one. Visitors are expected to continue following basic COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, including maintaining social distancing and staying home if they are sick. While the facility is open, there are capacity limits for each room, with a total indoor capacity of 50 patrons.
Rental requests for the YRCC will be available after June 1. Summer hours begin June 1 and will be 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Due to the limited facility capacity, the YRCC will not be open to the public during the Summer Fun4Kids Program: June 7 through July 29. The center will reopen to the public with summer hours on August 2. Fall hours will resume August 16.
