Fayetteville Recycling and Trash Collection Division July Schedule and Information Update
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark— The City of Fayetteville Recycling and Trash Collection Division’s July Schedule and Information Update is now available, including Independence Day holiday schedules. The Division is seeking volunteers for a door-to-door recycling education project. Volunteers will be trained on the City’s recycling programs and subsequently visit households in the Walker Park neighborhood, encouraging residents to participate in waste reduction through recycling. FRIDAY, JULY 3, 2015

HAPPY HOLLOW RECYCLING DROP-OFF CENTER
Location: 1420 S. Happy Hollow Road
Hours of Operation: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

MARION ORTON RECYCLING DROP-OFF CENTER
Location: 735 W. North Street
Hours of Operation:
• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• Closed on Sunday and on City holidays

COMPOST & MULCH FACILITY
Location: 1708 S. Armstrong Avenue
Hours of Operation:
• Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• First two Saturdays of the month (April-October) from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Closed on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, some Saturdays, and on City holidays
Fees: varies
Residential Drop-Off:
• There is no fee for Fayetteville residents, please bring a recent water bill showing recycling and trash collection charges and proof of residency.
Commercial Drop-Off:
• Drop-off for commercial landscapers and contractors are allowed to use the site for drop off purposes.
• Fees range from $5.00 to $15.00 plus tax depending on size of trailer or truck.
Compost Distribution for RESIDENTS ONLY:
• Screened compost is available for purchase, while supplies last. Please bring a recent water bill showing recycling and trash collection charges and proof of residency.
BULK COMPOST:
• $20 plus tax per scoop (2½ cubic yards or enough to fill the bed of a regular size pick-up truck).
• One scoop limit – this allows a chance for most residents to purchase the compost should they desire.
BAGGED COMPOST:
• $4.00 plus tax per bag (approximately 1 cubic foot)
• Purchases of ten or more bags must be placed in advance. To schedule an advance order, please call 479-575-8398.
Mulch Distribution
• Available to anyone, while supplies last
• $10 plus tax per scoop (2½ cubic yards or enough to fill the bed of a regular size pick-up truck).
TRANSFER STATION (Trash Disposal)
Location: 1560 S. Happy Hollow Road
Hours of Operation:
• Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., excluding holidays.
• Closed on Sunday and on City holidays
Fees: $45.20 plus tax per ton, $28.90 minimum, or $6.20 plus tax per bag.
