Construction Fencing to Affect Sidewalks Adjacent to Walton Arts Center
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Contractors working with the Walton Arts Center’s facility expansion began installing construction fencing this week. The fencing will be altered as the construction phases progress. Construction is estimated to be complete in the fall of 2016.
During all phases of construction, the south side of the 400 block of W. Dickson Street (from N. West Avenue to N. School Street) will have construction fencing adjacent to the sidewalk. Temporary adjustments will be made to ensure the sidewalk remains ADA accessible.
During all phases of construction, the east side of the 200 block of N. West Avenue (between W. Dickson Street and the Walton Arts Center backstage driveway) will have construction fencing adjacent to the street, therefore the sidewalk will not be open. The sidewalk on the west side of the N. West Avenue will not be affected; pedestrians should use this sidewalk to travel in the area.
The Walton Arts Center will resume its performance season in November 2015 and information about accessing entrances will be made available to the public at that time. The final phase of construction will take place during the summer of 2016 and any adjustments to construction fencing will be announced in a media release.
Please use caution when traveling in this area. Inquiries about the Walton Arts Center facility expansion should be directed to Wendy Riggs, Vice President of Operations, at 479-571-2742.
