Kessler Mountain Trail Relocation
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department has temporarily relocated a portion of the Kessler Mountain nature trail located off of Judge Cummings Road. The trail is accessed from the gravel parking area located at 2600 Judge Cummings Road, and the trail entry is now located on the east side of the property. See attached map.
Construction of the Regional Park began in April and continues to move forward. In effort to ensure the safety of trail users, the trail was moved out of the construction area. The City requests trail users be courteous and respect their surroundings as a portion of the temporary trail relocation leaves city property. A trail map and sign in station is located at the new entry location. All trail users are encouraged to sign in to help us learn about the type and number of trail users. Additionally, proper trail etiquette is encouraged. Please visit http://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/496/Trails-Greenways for etiquette tips.
The safety of the public during the construction of this project is of the utmost importance. Every effort will be made to keep trail disturbances to a minimum. Please use caution while near the construction zone.
Updates will be posted on the City of Fayetteville website: http://www.fayetteville-ar.gov. For further information please contact Fayetteville Parks and Recreation at (479) 444-3471. Thank you for your patience as we complete this project!
