Fayetteville City Council to Hold Two Meetings Next Week
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—Fayetteville City Council will meet two times next week in anticipation of an unusually full agenda. The first meeting, set for Tuesday, January 5, 2021, will begin at 5:30 p.m. This meeting will adjourn after the conclusion of Unfinished Business items. The second meeting, beginning at 5: 30 p.m. Thursday, January 7, will commence with New Business items.
Next week’s two-meeting approach has been implemented to help avoid Council meetings continuing late into the night when the agenda is particularly full or when a large volume of public comment is anticipated.
Both City Council meetings will be held via Zoom, and registration is required for members of the public who wish to comment on an agenda item. To register for the Jan. 5 and Jan. 7 meetings, please use the Zoom meeting links provided on the City Meeting Calendar available at www.fayetteville-ar.gov/publicmeetings. The City’s meeting calendar is posted weekly on the Friday prior to the next week’s meetings.
Please note that separate registrations are required if you wish to attend both the Jan. 5 and Jan. 7 meetings.
Fayetteville City Council meetings are live-streamed on the City’s YouTube channel. Meeting also can be viewed via the City’s website or through the government TV channel, viewable on Cox Channel 216 and AT&T U-verse channel 99. These options allow members of the public to watch meetings real-time without registering for virtual attendance.
