Fayetteville City Council to Hold Special Meeting Tuesday, Sept. 29
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — City of Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan has called a special meeting of the City Council to take place at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, immediately before the regularly scheduled City Council agenda session. The meeting will be held virtually with some attendees present in City Council chambers at City Hall.
The special meeting has been called to discuss acceptance of a United States Department of Agriculture grant awarded to the City for a food waste reduction pilot program:
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN A GRANT AGREEMENT ACCEPTING A MATCHING GRANT FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE COMMUNITY COMPOST AND FOOD WASTE REDUCTION PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $73,870.00 TO EXPAND THE CITY’S FOOD WASTE COLLECTION PROGRAM, AND TO APPROVE A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
