Help Save a Life, Donate Blood on Wednesday June 17

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— The next blood drive hosted by the City of Fayetteville is this Wednesday, June 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks (CBCO) will have their bloodmobile in the KUAF parking lot located at 9 S. School Avenue, across from the Fayetteville Public Library.

Everyone who donates will receive a mystery throwback t-shirt. Appointments are strongly encouraged to manage donor flow. Please contact Bonnie Bolinger at 479-575-8333 or bbolinger@fayetteville-ar.gov to make an appointment or online at https://www.cbco.org/donate-blood.

Masks are required for donors and staff. If you don’t have a mask, one will be provided.

CBCO is the exclusive provider of blood and plasma to all area hospitals including children’s and veteran’s hospitals. Local donors are needed to continue to provide for local patients. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many blood drives were cancelled in March and April leaving blood supplies critically low.

Every two seconds someone needs blood, so mark your calendar and come donate. When you give blood, you are literally helping local hospitals save lives; there is no easier way to save a life.

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has a QuickPass system that lets you start the registration process before you ever arrive at the blood drive. Access the QuickPass link to complete your health history questions online the day of the blood drive. The QuickPass system will save you time when you arrive at the blood drive by skipping the health history questions and move you on to the next step.
