[ARCHIVED] Road Closure: N. Old Missouri Rd. (from Old Wire Rd. to Rolling Hills Dr.)

Road Closure: N. Old Missouri Rd., May 5-7

May 1, 2020

The City of Fayetteville Transportation Division will be milling and placing an asphalt overlay on N Old Missouri Rd from N Old Wire Rd. to Rolling Hills Dr. N Old Missouri will be closed to through traffic from the 5th of May to the 7th. The road will be open when workers have left for the day. Rain could delay or extend the estimated work time.

Please do not park on the street during project work hours (6 a.m. - 4 p.m.) as this may interfere with the construction work.

Detours will be marked to help with direction. The crew will work to minimize traffic delays; however, please allow extra travel time or consider an alternate route.

Oil will be sprayed on the roadway prior to the placement of asphalt overlays. If necessary, you may drive on the oil before the asphalt is placed. Please drive slowly and carefully. Driving fast will throw oil on your vehicle and endanger the crew. If oil is thrown on your vehicle, it can be removed with WD-40 spray and paper towels.

Small piles of debris/asphalt left at the edge of the roadway will be removed at the end of the project. (If not removed within two days, please call the office.)

On behalf of the City of Fayetteville, we would like to express our appreciation for your cooperation and understanding as we perform our work in this area. For additional information on the project, please contact the City of Fayetteville Transportation Division office at 479-575-8228. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
