City Accepting Applications for Community Development Block Grants for COVID-19 Relief
Public Comments Accepted May 14 - 20

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The recent CARES Act provided supplemental funding for Community Development Block Grants to organizations assisting low- to moderate-income Fayetteville residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizations may apply for funding beginning Friday, May 1, 2020. The application deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, May 8. Applications can be found online at www.fayetteville-ar.gov/CDBG, or by calling the Community Resources Division at (479) 575-8260. Awards will be announced on Wednesday, May 13.

Public comments will be accepted from 8 a.m. on May 14 through 5 p.m., May 20. A public hearing will be held via Zoom on Wednesday, May 20, at 4 p.m. The Zoom link will be posted by May 15 on the City of Fayetteville’s website:  www.fayetteville-ar.gov/zoommeetings. All interested parties are invited to participate.

The City of Fayetteville is also providing public notice of the intent to amend the Citizen Participation Plan to reflect expedited procedures for public comment due to COVID-19. The amended Citizen Participation Plan will be posted at www.fayetteville-ar.gov/CDBG.
