Latest RecycleSomething PSA Earns Telly Award
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Telly Awards has selected The City of Fayetteville Media Services Division as a Bronze winner in the 36th Annual Telly Awards for A New Day, the latest Public Service Announcement (PSA) video from the continuing RecycleSomething media campaign. A New Day shows a step-by-step process of plastic bottles being recycled and turned into fleece wear.
Recognized out of nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, A New Day received the award in the “Commercials - Public Service” category and can be viewed here: “Recycle Something—A New Day” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK_hk03yhbM)
This award adds to the three Bronze Telly Awards the RecycleSomething media campaign garnered in 2014.
The Telly Awards was founded in 1979 and is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions, and online commercials, video and films. Winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. Entries do not compete against each other; rather, entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Only about 25 percent of entries are chosen as Winners of the Bronze Telly.
“This Telly Award represents well-deserved recognition for the City of Fayetteville and its RecycleSomething recycling education and awareness campaign,” said Doug Bankston, Director of Media Services for the City of Fayetteville. “Everyone involved in making this public service spot should be commended.”
