2015 Meet Your Trails Program Presents a Park-To-Park Trail Tour
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Take a tour of the recently completed Town Branch Trail with City of Fayetteville Chief of Staff, Don Marr, on Saturday, June 27th; the tour will begin at 8:30 a.m. and should take approximately 90 minutes to complete. Starting from Walker Park’s North Pavilion, the tour will cross W. Fifteenth Street, travel along the southernmost section of the Frisco Trail/Razorback Greenway, continue on the Town Branch Trail to Greathouse Park, and then return to Walker Park. This three mile tour is on paved trails and will traverse along the wooded Town Branch Creek in a serene south Fayetteville setting.
The City’s Employee Wellness Committee developed the “Meet Your Trails” program to provide citizens and employees the opportunity to explore different segments of Fayetteville trails and to meet the City’s administration and department staff. Bring co-workers, friends, or family so they too can spend time enjoying the trails while getting a bit of exercise. A different trail tour – varying in length, terrain, and difficulty – will be led once a month through August.
The City’s Employee Wellness Committee is dedicated to helping the workplace become a more health-conscious one. Feel free to contact Employee Wellness Committee members with any ideas or suggestions that can make a difference in the overall health of all employees at the City of Fayetteville.
