Section of Northbound Armstrong Avenue Closed for Utility Work

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— The City of Fayetteville is installing a new water main near S. Armstrong Avenue. This work will require closing the northbound lane of S. Armstrong Avenue (between Pump Station Road and E. 15th Street/Highway 16) on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. beginning Monday, October 28. The project is expected to take three weeks to complete. Northbound traffic will be detoured to Morningside Drive. The southbound lane will remain open.

Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment

Fayetteville’s water distribution infrastructure includes more than 782 miles of water mains, 4,449 fire hydrants and 13,654 valves. City staff works with the City Council Water, Sewer, and Solid Waste Committee members to prioritize projects and allocate resources.
