City Issues First Retail, Restaurant and Neighborhood Services Survey and Map
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In July of 2019, the City of Fayetteville hired its first business development manager, Chung Tan, whose full-time focus is on recruitment of retail and restaurant businesses. The City’s Department of Economic Vitality wants to ensure it is working to recruit the types of businesses Fayetteville’s residents want, in the locations they want them, and therefore has created a survey and interactive map to collect input from the public.
“We receive a lot of requests from Fayetteville residents for specific types of business in various locations. This tool gives everyone a platform to let us know exactly what businesses they’d like to see open in Fayetteville,” said Devin Howland, director of economic vitality for the City of Fayetteville.
The City invites the community to take the brief online survey, and to participate with an interactive map on which you can drop pins in specific locations where you’d like to see certain businesses. The survey and map can are available at Speak Up Fayetteville, the City’s online public engagement portal: www.fayetteville-ar.gov/speakup .
