Fall Square 2 Square Bike Ride This Saturday from Bentonville to Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The fall Square 2 Square Bike Ride, presented by Clif Bar Company takes place this Saturday, September 7. The semi-annual fun ride is organized by Fayetteville and Bentonville Parks and Recreation departments and takes place on a 30-mile stretch of the Razorback Regional Greenway between the two cities.
Riders will start at Lawrence Plaza in downtown Bentonville between 8 and 10 a.m., travel 30 miles south on the Greenway, and end in downtown Fayetteville at the intersection of W. Mountain Street and S. Church Avenue. Finisher festivities take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the large parking lot located at 120 W. Mountain St (closed to vehicles from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Church Avenue, between W. Spring Street and W. Mountain Street, will be closed to vehicle traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cars not vacated from event spaces on Saturday morning will be towed by NWA Towing.
With nearly 1,800 riders participating, the Greenway will be crowded. Please use caution or avoid the trail during this time. City officials are asking people to pay attention to all types of traffic when near trail crossings in Northwest Arkansas. Drivers coming into Fayetteville’s downtown and square area should also be aware that participants of the ride will be traveling from the Frisco Trail to the finish line via Spring Street (eastbound) and Church Avenue (southbound).
