Fayetteville Animal Services Waives Fees for Dog Adoptions June 17 - 22

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The warmer months are here, and things are heating up at Fayetteville Animal Services. The shelter is currently housing more than twenty adorable, adoptable dogs and puppies.  Hoping to entice the community into opening their hearts and homes, Animal Services is waiving all adoption fees for dogs from Monday, June 17, through end of business on Saturday, June 22.  All pets adopted from Animal Services come already spayed or neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Dogs are tested for heartworms.

“We have some dogs who have been waiting a long time for that perfect person to come through the doors, and we want to make adoption everyone’s first choice,” said Ryan Gutierrez, the shelter attendant in charge of adoptable dogs.  “We spend many hours with these dogs and we get to know them really well. The highlight of my day is when I help a potential adopter find just the right companion,” Gutierrez continued.

Fayetteville Animal Services is open for adoption Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The shelter is located at 1640 S. Armstrong Avenue, Fayetteville, AR 72701.  All dogs are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All adopters must complete the normal adoption application and be approved.

To learn more about the adoption process and view adoptable pets, visit the Animal Services website: www.fayetteville-ar.gov/petadoption, or call 479.444.3456.
