Notice of Intermittent Road Closures as Joe Martin Stage Race Returns to Fayetteville April 4-7
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark— The Joe Martin Stage Race, now in its 42nd year, returns to Fayetteville April 4 through 7, 2019. The four-day, four-stage bicycle race attracts some 750 professional and elite cyclists from around the world who compete on the roads and highways in and around Fayetteville for thousands of dollars in prizes.
Although the lion’s share of the race courses are plotted south of Fayetteville, a portion of the Thursday and Friday races take place within City limits and will cause intermittent road closures. Sunday’s race, a spectator-friendly criterium, takes place around downtown Fayetteville and will require several road closures for the duration of the race.
A full listing of scheduled road closures follows. Drivers are encouraged to expect delays and to use alternate routes during these times. Drivers are also reminded to be watchful for cyclists on roads and highways south of Fayetteville from April 4 through 7, as competitors will be practicing and racing throughout the area.
Thursday, April 4
1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Portions of Huntsville, Willow, Spring, Fletcher, Oklahoma Way, Missouri Way, Dogwood, Assembly Dr. will be closed to traffic from approximately 1:00 until 4:30 p.m. Please do not park on these streets, which are part of the race course, after noon.

Friday, April 5
2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Portions of Razorback Rd/Hwy 26 will be intermittently closed to traffic as racers approach the finish line at Razorback Road and 15th Street from the south on Hwy 265, between approximately 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, April 7
7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Criterium race in downtown Fayetteville will mean that portions of Church, Mountain, Block, Center, East, Dickson, West, and Spring streets will be closed to traffic from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Please do not park on these streets which are part of the course after 6:00 a.m.
