SECTION OF CURTIS AVE. CLOSED FOR OVERLAY, MARCH 26, 2019

FAYETTVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville will be applying an asphalt overlay on a section of Curtis Ave., from 15th Street to Fairlane St., on Tuesday, March 26, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. During these hours, the street will be closed to thru traffic. Residents will be allowed access as needed, but are asked not to park on the street during the work hours, as this may interfere with construction work.

Oil will be sprayed on the road prior to placement of the asphalt overlays. The road may be driven on after this treatment, but drivers are advised to drive slowly to avoid throwing oil onto your car and endangering the road crew.  If you must drive through this area, please use caution and allow yourself extra time.

Small piles of debris and asphalt maybe left along the edges of the street following the construction. These will be removed the next day.

Note: Rain could delay or extend the estimated work time.

For more information about this project, please contact the City of Fayetteville Transportation Division at 479-575-8228 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
