City Seeks Public Input for 71B Corridor Plan with Focus on S. School Avenue

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.—  The City of Fayetteville is preparing a plan for the 71B Corridor and continues to seek public input through December and January. During the week of December 10, planners are meeting with stakeholder groups and the public to explore transportation options from a “big picture” point of view. These include vehicle traffic, bus transit, bicyclists, and pedestrians. We want to hear your ideas for the corridor’s future. Stop by for 15 minutes or the entire session to share your ideas and help design 71B for the future.

The upcoming December 11 and 12 meetings will focus on S. School Avenue (Archibald Yell to Cato Springs Road) but discussions will also continue for the overall corridor concepts.

Concept Design Input Meetings
When:

  • Tuesday, December 11, 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 12, 5 to 7 p.m.

Where:

  • Arkansas Research and Technology Park
GENESIS Technology Incubator building, AT&T Conference Room
    700 W. Research Center Blvd.

Planners will return in 2019 for additional public meetings and look at the developing 71B Corridor Plan in detail, including how the roadway fits with surrounding neighborhoods and businesses, now and for decades to come. The plan’s study areas are:
