Enjoy Parking on Thanksgiving Day for No Charge
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — “On Thanksgiving Day, the City will not charge for parking in Fayetteville’s two parking districts,” said Mayor Lioneld Jordan. “City staff and I wish everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving!”
There will be no charge for parking on Thursday, November 22 in City parking lots or in on-street parking spaces within the Dickson Street Entertainment District and the Downtown Square Business District. City officials ask drivers to be mindful of spaces reserved for Lights of the Ozarks vendors on the Square or in marked residential parking spaces throughout the districts.
Paid parking will be reinstated at 2 p.m. in the Dickson Street district on Friday, November 23 and at 8 a.m. on Monday, November 26, in the Square district.
To learn more about available public parking in the City of Fayetteville’s downtown and entertainment districts, please visit the City’s website.
Parking in the Dickson Street Entertainment District is offered at no charge before 2 p.m. daily and uses a pay-by-space system from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Payment can be made at any of the kiosks located throughout the area, as well as the five kiosks located in the Spring Street Parking Deck or by using the convenient pay-by-phone system.
Parking in the Downtown Square Business District is enforced Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except on City holidays). Meters are adjacent to the majority of parking spaces. Free parking for a two-hour limit is available in spaces directly on the square.
