Fayetteville Animal Services Waives Pet Adoption Fees This Friday and Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— Colder temperatures are around the corner and it’s perfect for snuggling with a cat or dog. Fayetteville Animal Services is waiving adoption fees for any pets adopted at the shelter this Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3. Shelter staff will be available for one-on-one consultation with potential adopters to help find a perfect snuggle buddy.

Pets will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Shelter staff recommends that adopters get there early and encourage people to fill out their adoption applications in advance, so the staff has time to get the application approved before the event. Applications are available at the shelter or on the City’s website at www.fayetteville-ar.gov/petadoption.

Prior to going to their new forever home, all available dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Adopters can preview available pets on Petfinder or at this link. Please note that pet profiles are listed until the adoption process is complete; adopters should visit the shelter in person to learn more about the animals.

The Lib Horn Animal Shelter, located at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave. in Fayetteville, is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Additionally, Fayetteville Animal Services is holding an off-site Pet Adoption Fair on Friday, November 3 at Spectrum Apartments (1741 W. Crowne Dr.). The adoption fair kicks off at noon with cat and kitten adoptions from Purr Catfé until 2 p.m. Fayetteville Animal Services will have adoptable dogs at the fair from 2 p.m. through 4 p.m.

Please visit www.fayetteville-ar.gov/animals to learn about Fayetteville’s Animal Services programs and the shelter.
