City Hosts Discussion About Internet Quality and Affordability with Local Providers

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— Mayor Lioneld Jordan and the Digital Inclusion Task Force invite citizens to a moderated discussion about the state of internet service in Fayetteville with representatives from three broadband providers: AT&T, Cox, and OzarksGo.

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Walker Room at the Fayetteville Public Library (401 W. Mountain St.). Light snacks will be served.

The Fayetteville Public Library will broadcast the meeting livestreaming at this link. This event and two additional Digital Inclusion events can be found in the Library’s livestream archive at https://livestream.com/faylib.

City staff is working with stakeholders and Fayetteville citizens to develop a Digital Inclusion Plan. The plan strives to ensure equitable and affordable broadband so that all residents can have access to healthcare, online learning, employment opportunities, close the homework gap, and increase ways in which citizens can be civically engaged.
