Section of Meadow Street to be Closed for Road and Sidewalk Improvements

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The City of Fayetteville transportation division will begin construction for improvements on Meadow Street between Block Ave. and East Ave. starting September 10th.

Construction work will require closing Meadow Street between Block Ave. and East Ave. on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Drivers will have access to the parking lot on the northwest corner of Meadow and East, but no thru-traffic will be permitted.

The project is estimated to be completed on November 2. The street will be reopened to full traffic nights and weekends Detour routes will be marked.  Please use extreme caution when in the work area and watch for personnel and equipment.

The work will include construction of new sidewalks, installation of street lights, planting trees (on both sides), and an asphalt overlay of the road surface on Meadow Street.
