Parks and Recreation Department to Phase in New Software for Activities and Reservations

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fayetteville’s Parks and Recreation Department will begin phasing in new recreation management software on Tuesday, September 4. The software, CivicRec, integrates with the City’s existing CivicPlus content management system (website). The design is mobile-friendly and easy to use.

The hyperlink, www.fayetteville-ar.gov/recreation, will take users to the new website.

Parks and Recreation staff will deploy the Activity Registration module on Tuesday allowing citizens to sign up for Kessler Mountain Jam, Run For The Parks, Adult Volleyball, and Adult Kickball. In November the Field and Pavilion Reservations module will go live, followed by additional modules in early 2019. The current Online Signup website will be phased out but is the existing host for several recreation-related programs.

The new software will allow citizens greater visibility into Parks and Recreation Department activities, events, and sport leagues with convenient online registration and payment. It will also allow citizens to search for and reserve community facilities such as pavilions, ballfields, and gym space.

City staff is excited to launch the new software and its new functionalities such as league scheduling, integrated league participant communication, membership management, improved access to customer history, combined history of both online and counter transactions, and a new parent/player portal for league information.
