CORRECTION: Maple Street / Highway112 Closure Near Razorback Stadium
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. —As part of the Highway 112 Project, the segment Maple Street: Razorback Road to Garland Avenue will be closed 24/hours a day from Monday, June 25 through Thursday, August 30, 2018. Drivers will be able to access the Administration Building and Silas Hunt Hall. The intersection of Stadium Drive and Maple Street will also be closed. Detour routes will be marked.
Construction will occur in two phases to accommodate University of Arkansas academic and football schedules. The second phase of the project will begin in May 2019 with an expected August 2019 completion date. The Maple Street: Razorback Road to Garland Avenue improvements include:
- Construction of sidewalks on both sides of the road (width will vary from 5 ft. to 8 ft.)
- Construction of curb and gutter with stormwater inlets and pipes
- Installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Razorback Road and Maple Street
- Installation of a pedestrian hybrid beacon at an existing crosswalk on Maple Street
- Asphalt pavement overlay on Garland Avenue from Maple Street to North Street (Wedington Drive)
- Asphalt pavement overlay on Razorback Road from Leroy Pond Road to Maple Street
The Maple Street: Razorback Road to Garland Avenue segment is a City project in partnership with the University of Arkansas and with federal aid funding provided through ARDOT.
